Learn to Skate and Peter Puck
If you’re at the Forum mid Sat’d morning, or mid Sunday afternoon, and see these kids, it’s hard to believe that they are beginners! Special thanks to our incredible coaching staffs, and to all of those assisting with the programs. However, we still have a full month to go! We continue through the month of March w/ LTS1 and Peter Puck finishing on Saturday, March 31st, and LTS2 closing on Sunday, April 1st.
Learn to Skate Olympics this Sunday, March 11th, 3pm->5pm – Our Annual Learn to Skate Olympics for both Learn to Skate sessions (LTS1 & LTS2) will be held this Sunday afternoon at the Forum. There is no Learn to Skate this Saturday morning at 9:30am, and skaters from both sessions should be at the Forum for the 3pm start Sunday afternoon. Cameras/Camcorders are welcomed and encouraged! Learn to Skate Olympics are traditionally the highlight of the season. Don't miss it!
We’d also like to thank the parents for getting your children to the rink each weekend … ready to go!
Presidents Cup Recap
From Tournament Director, Scott Calnan:
Well, it looks like we did it again! We had a very successful 2007 Presidents Cup Tournament. This year we had 64 teams competing representing MA, NH, ME, RI, and NY. We even had an in-house division. All of our Chelmsford teams represented themselves and our Association well. The players and their parents should all be proud of their effort. Special congratulations to the Tournament Finalist PeeWee 1 and Bantam 3 and Tournament Champion Squirt 1 teams. Way to Go!
This was my first year running the Tournament. My one goal was to ensure the kids had a good time and I hope that was the case. It is very hard to realize the amount of time and energy that goes into a Tournament of this magnitude until you actually take on the ponsibility personally. Although a lot of work, it is extremely rewarding and not something that can be accomplished alone. Look for a Thank You page on the Presidents Cup tab (coming soon) where I can better express my gratitude to those who helped. I would like to improve upon the tournament every year. Please forward any comments, positive or negative, to Tournaments@chelmsfordhockey.com .
