Good Afternoon Chelmsford Hockey Families,

First, and foremost, we’d like to send a hearty congratulations to all of our Squirt & Pee Wee teams who wrapped up their seasons this past weekend.  It was a season unlike we have ever (or hopefully will ever) experienced.  All the players, coaches, and parents should feel proud of all of their efforts this season.  Well done.

Bantam playoffs are ongoing, and Mite playoffs are about to begin, so let’s make some noise for our teams still playing and wish them luck heading in to this weekend!  Go get ‘em Lions!  Be sure to check out the CHA FaceBook page for special shoutouts in the days ahead.

Tryout Updates:

As previously communicated, the skills portion of tryouts was done via existing teams to minimize potential cross-team exposure prior to playoffs.  With playoffs having wrapped or being close to wrapping up, we are now able to begin finalizing our scrimmage plans and communicate some of time slots:

Skaters:

  • 2021 PeeWee Scrimmage Tryouts will be held Monday April 5th from  7:30 – 9pm

Scrimmage timeslots for Mite, Bantam and Midget teams will be communicated no later than Monday the 5th, once games occurring this weekend conclude.  Latest possible date for scrimmage sessions would be Friday April 16th.

New CHA Players:

A skills evaluation will be held for newly registered CHA players on Wednesday April 7th at 7:10pm for Mite through Bantam level players.

Goalies:

Full-time, Part-time, and Alternate Goalie tryouts will be held Thursday April 15th from 5:10 – 7pm.  Groupings TBD, but please save the date.

Girls:

At this time, there are ongoing discussions for assembling girls teams, in addition to our existing U18 team, for next season. More to come soon.

A reminder that scrimmage is for registered players only.  There will be a check-in process at the Forum for these sessions.  Please CLICK HERE to register if you have not already done so.

We look forward to seeing everyone at tryouts.  We are excited for all the teams playing this weekend. GO LIONS!

Fondly,

Heather Hoffman
